Zomberry's Orange Discovery
Zomberry was not like other zombies. While her friends shuffled through the graveyard looking gray and gloomy, she dreamed of something more. Every day felt the same – gray, tired, and hungry for nothing at all.
One sunny morning, a little girl named Lily skipped through the graveyard with a basket. Zomberry watched from behind a twisted old tree, her gray eyes wide with wonder. Lily was the color of sunshine itself, with hair like golden wheat and a dress the color of spring flowers.
"Hello?" called Lily, spotting Zomberry. "Would you like an orange?"
Zomberry had never seen an orange before. It was round and bright, like a tiny sun that fit in Lily's hand. Her gray fingers trembled as she reached for it.
"It's full of vitamin C," Lily explained with a smile. "It makes you strong and happy!"
Zomberry took a bite. Juice exploded in her mouth – sweet, tangy, and absolutely wonderful. Something magical happened. Her gray cheeks turned rosy. Her tired eyes sparkled. She felt... happy!
"More!" Zomberry said, her first word in years.
Lily laughed and shared her whole basket. As Zomberry ate more oranges, her gray skin began to glow. She started dancing, skipping, and even jumping! Her zombie friends gathered around, amazed at the colorful, happy creature she had become.
"I want to feel happy too!" moaned Zom-Bob.
"Me too!" groaned Zom-Bella.
Zomberry knew what to do. She took Lily's hand and together they visited every house in town, collecting oranges. Soon, the whole graveyard was dancing. Gray zombies became colorful friends. Sad moans turned into happy songs.
That night, Zomberry learned something wonderful: sharing good things with friends makes everything better. And sometimes, the most unlikely friendships can bring the brightest magic into the world.
Now, every morning, you can find Zomberry and her friends in the orange grove, dancing in the sunshine, grateful for the day a little girl shared her vitamin-filled sunshine fruit with a lonely zombie.
