Zara's Secret Vitamin Pool

Zara loved visiting her grandmother's garden, especially the mysterious blue pool hidden behind the tall sunflowers. Grandma said it was magic, but Zara had never seen anything special happen—until one hot summer afternoon when she found something extraordinary.

Curled beneath the weeping willow sat a small green creature with droopy petals for hair and tired, half-open eyes. It looked like a zombie from her storybooks, but instead of being scary, this little zombie seemed sad and lonely.

Zara noticed drooping stems all around the pool. Flowers were wilting, and the usually sparkling water looked dull. "What do you need?"

"Grandmother's special vitamin soup," Zimble explained. "It grows at the bottom of the pool. But I'm too weak to swim down there."
