Whiskers and the Bull's Secret

Whiskers was a tiny orange tabby cat with the biggest dream in the whole wide world. Every afternoon, she'd perch on the old wooden fence and watch the children play baseball in the meadow behind Farmer McGregor's barn. The way they'd swing their bats and send the ball flying through the air made her heart flutter like butterfly wings.

"Go away, cat!" the children would shout, waving their hands. "You'll scare away the ball!"

But Whiskers couldn't stay away. She loved baseball more than anything—more than saucers of warm milk, more than napping in sunbeams, more than chasing butterflies through the tall grass.

One magical night, when the moon hung like a glowing pearl in the starry sky, Whiskers crept toward the baseball field. Something shimmered in the moonlight—the baseball diamond was glowing!

Suddenly, a massive shadow emerged from the barn. A bull named Barnaby, the largest and gentlest creature Whiskers had ever seen, trotted toward home plate. But this wasn't just any bull. Barnaby was wearing a baseball cap!

"Want to play, little friend?" Barnaby rumbled softly.

Whiskers' whiskers trembled with excitement. "But I'm too small!"

"Small is perfect," said the bull. "Watch this."

Barnaby tapped the baseball with his hoof, and it rolled toward Whiskers. Quick as lightning, she pounced! The ball sailed through the air—over the fence, past the barn, all the way to the apple orchard.

The whole barnyard team cheered: chickens, goats, even the old farm dog who usually slept all day. Whiskers had discovered her secret talent—she was the fastest ball player anyone had ever seen!
