Thunder's Magic Padel
Lily loved playing padel with her golden retriever, Buster. Every afternoon after school, they'd go to the court behind their house. Buster couldn't hold a racket, but he was excellent at chasing balls!
One stormy afternoon, dark clouds gathered overhead. CRACK! A bolt of lightning flashed across the sky, followed by a rumble of thunder. Most kids would run inside, but Lily and Buster kept playing.
"Fetch!" Lily called, hitting the padel ball toward the fence.
Buster took off, running faster than ever through the puddles. His golden fur sparkled in the rain. But this time, something magical happened. When the lightning flashed again, the ball began to glow!
Buster caught the glowing ball in his mouth and suddenly, his paws lifted off the ground. He was flying!
"Buster!" Lily gasped, dropping her racket.
Her dog circled above her, still running through the air like he was on an invisible track. The lightning had given the ball magical powers, and somehow, Buster had absorbed that magic.
Lily laughed with delight as Buster swooped down, landing softly beside her. He dropped the glowing ball at her feet. When Lily picked it up, she felt a tingle of electricity shoot through her fingers—but it didn't hurt. It felt warm and friendly, like a hug from the sun.
From that day on, whenever lightning flashed during their padel games, Lily and Buster knew something special might happen. They learned that storms weren't scary—they were nature's way of putting on a magical show.
And sometimes, if you're brave enough to keep playing through the rain, you might discover that the most wonderful adventures come when you least expect them.
Buster became known as the dog who could fly, but only during lightning storms. And Lily? She learned that courage and friendship could turn any ordinary day into something extraordinary.
