The Zombie With The Magic Hat
Lily loved her garden. Every morning, she would skip outside to talk to her flowers and watch the butterflies dance. But today something magical happened.
While digging near the old oak tree, Lily's fingers brushed against something soft and fuzzy. She pulled it from the dirt carefully. It was a hat! But not just any hat—this hat sparkled with tiny stars that twinkled in the sunlight.
"I found a magic hat!" Lily cheered, placing it on her head. Suddenly, the ground began to rumble, and out popped a little green figure.
"Thank you for finding my hat!" said the figure. Lily gasped. It looked like a zombie, but not a scary one. This zombie had the friendliest smile she had ever seen, with bright purple eyes and floppy green hair.
"I'm Zara!" the zombie said happily. "I'm a garden zombie. I help plants grow big and strong!" Zara showed Lily how the magic hat made flowers bloom instantly and trees grow fresh apples.
Just then, Lily heard her mom calling. "Oh no, my mom will never believe this!" Lily worried. But then she remembered—her iphone was in her pocket!
Lily snapped a picture of Zara making a sunflower grow taller than the fence. When her mom saw the photo, her eyes grew wide.
"A real zombie?!" Mom exclaimed. But when she came outside, Zara was nowhere to be seen. The magic hat sat on the ground, and everywhere Zara had walked, beautiful flowers had sprung up.
That night, Lily whispered to the stars, "Thank you, Zara."
From that day on, Lily's garden was the most beautiful in the neighborhood. And sometimes, when she wore her magic hat, she could feel Zara's friendly presence, reminding her that sometimes the most unexpected friends bring the most wonderful magic.
Lily learned never to judge someone by how they look—even a zombie can be the best friend you've ever had.
