The Zombie Who Needed Vitamins
Emma loved exploring the forest behind her house. One sunny afternoon, she found someone sitting under an ancient oak tree, crying.
"What's wrong?" Emma asked, stepping closer.
The creature looked up. She had messy green hair, pale skin, and moved very slowly. "I'm a zombie," she sniffled. "At least, that's what everyone calls me. But I don't want to be scary. I want to play and dance like the other children."
Emma wasn't afraid. She sat beside the sad zombie. "I'm Emma. What's your name?"
"Zoe."
"Why are you crying, Zoe?"
Zoe pointed to her wild hair. "Look at me! My hair is all tangled. I'm always tired. I try to run, but I can only shuffle. The other children ran away when they saw me."
Emma thought hard. She remembered her doctor saying something important. "My mom gives me vitamins every morning. She says they help me grow strong and healthy. Maybe... maybe you need vitamins too!"
Zoe's eyes widened. "Do you think that would work?"
"I know somewhere special!" Emma grabbed Zoe's hand and led her deeper into the forest, to a secret garden her grandmother had shown her. Moonflowers bloomed there, even during the day. These weren't ordinary flowers – they were magical vitamin flowers!
Emma helped Zoe collect the glowing blue petals. "Eat these," she said. "My grandma says they're nature's special vitamins."
Zoe ate the petals slowly. Something magical happened. Her messy hair began to smooth and shine, turning a beautiful golden color. Energy rushed through her body. She jumped up and did a happy spin.
"Emma! Look! I can dance!" Zoe twirled and laughed, her movements quick and graceful.
"You were never really a zombie," Emma smiled. "You just needed the right vitamins!"
From that day on, Emma and Zoe were best friends. And Zoe made sure to eat her magic vitamin petals every morning, so she could always be ready for their next adventure together.
Emma learned something important that day: Sometimes people just need a little help to be their best selves. And friendship is the strongest vitamin of all.
