The Zombie Who Loved to Dance
Maya was playing at the beach when she spotted something strange half-buried in the sand. It was an old, thick cable, rusted from the sea salt. Most people would have walked right past it, but Maya was curious. She pulled gently, and the cable began to glow with soft blue light!
Following the glowing cable into the water, Maya discovered something amazing — the cable led all the way down to an underwater kingdom! There, colorful fish swam through coral castles, and sea horses played hide-and-seek among the seaweed forests.
In the center of this magical place stood a palm tree growing straight up from the ocean floor, its leaves shimmering with pearls instead of coconuts. And sitting beneath it was the most surprising sight of all — a zombie!
But this wasn't a scary zombie like in the movies. His name was Barnaby, and he was the friendliest zombie you could ever imagine. His green skin sparkled like emeralds, and instead of saying "brains," all he wanted to do was dance!
"I'm so lonely," Barnaby sighed. "Everyone swims away when they see me. They think I'm scary, but I just want to make friends."
Maya smiled. "Will you teach me to dance the zombie shuffle?"
Barnaby's eyes lit up. He grabbed Maya's hand, and together they spun and twirled in the water. The fish gathered around to watch, and soon even the shyest sea creatures were joining in. The magical palm tree sprinkled pearl dust over them like sparkly confetti.
From that day on, Maya visited Barnaby every summer. She learned that sometimes the scariest-looking creatures have the kindest hearts. The cable that had once seemed like old junk became the most magical treasure — because it led her to realize that true friends can be found in the most unexpected places.
And whenever anyone looked scared of Barnaby, Maya would just grab his hand and start dancing. Soon, everyone would join in, proving that a little kindness can turn any scary situation into a wonderful adventure.
