The Zombie Who Loved to Dance
Lily's curly hair bounced as she skipped through the park, following the sound of music. Behind the big palm tree, she saw something amazing—a zombie in a purple tutu, spinning and jumping!
"I'm Zara!" the zombie said, twirling. "I love dancing, but everyone runs away when they see me. They think zombies are scary."
Lily smiled. "I'm not scared! You dance beautifully!"
Zara's green face lit up. "Would you like to dance with me? I know a magical place!"
She led Lily through the woods to a secret pool that sparkled like diamonds. The water reflected the sunlight, making rainbow patterns on the trees.
"This is where I practice," Zara said. "The water gives me magic dancing power!"
Lily dipped her toes in the pool. Warm and bubbly! She and Zara danced—spinning, leaping, laughing. They did the robot, the twist, and made up silly moves.
Suddenly, other children appeared! They had heard the music and come to see. At first, they looked scared. But when they saw Zara dancing so joyfully, they joined in!
"Teach us that move!" called one boy.
"You're not scary at all!" said a girl with braids.
Soon, everyone was dancing by the magical pool. Zara wasn't lonely anymore. She had friends who saw her heart, not her green skin.
Lily learned something wonderful that day: never judge someone by how they look. The best friends come in the most surprising packages.
And every afternoon, you could find them all by the pool—dancing, laughing, and having the best time ever.
