The Zombie Who Loved Swimming

Leo loved summer afternoons in his backyard pool. The water sparkled like diamonds under the golden sun. His favorite pool toy was a bright yellow pyramid floatie that bobbed on the surface.

One lazy afternoon, Leo noticed something strange. A thick green cable lay coiled near the pool's edge, shimmering with an otherworldly glow. Curious, he gave it a gentle tug.

Suddenly, the water began to bubble and swirl! The pyramid floatie spun like magic, and the water turned a deep, mystical blue.

Out rose a zombie—but not a scary one. This zombie had bright green skin, a friendly smile, and wore colorful swimming trunks!

"Hello!" said the zombie, waving slowly. "I'm Zed!"

Leo wasn't afraid. "I'm Leo. Do you like swimming?"

"I LOVE swimming!" Zed cheered. "But I live in the underwater pyramid kingdom. No one there wants to play with me because... well, zombies aren't known for being friendly."

"That's not fair!" Leo said. "Everyone deserves a friend. Want to play?"

Zed's eyes lit up. They played pool games, splashed and raced, and had the best afternoon ever. Zed showed Leo magical tricks—making fountains of water dance and creating rainbows that arched over the pool.

"You're the best friend ever," Zed said as the sun began to set.

"You too!" Leo smiled. "Come back tomorrow?"

"Every day!" Zed promised, diving back into the water with a splash.

That night, Leo learned something wonderful: sometimes the most unexpected friendships bring the most magic. And really, everyone just wants someone to play with—even zombies who love swimming pools.
