The Zombie Who Loved Swimming
Leo was not like other zombies. While his friends shambled through the graveyard moaning for brains, Leo loved sparkling things – rainbows, flowers, and especially the glowing rectangle the humans called an iPhone.
One full-moon night, Leo found an iPhone beside the community swimming pool. The screen lit up with dancing fish! Peering closer, Leo saw his reflection – gray skin, crooked teeth, lonely eyes.
"I wish I could swim with those fish," Leo whispered.
Suddenly, the pool shimmered like magic. A girl named Maya peeked through the fence. She wasn't scared!
"Mr. Zombie?" Maya called softly. "Do you want to swim?"
Leo nodded slowly.
Maya's grandmother had taught her about the friendship vitamin – the most powerful vitamin of all. It lived inside kind hearts and made everything better.
"My grandma says everyone needs swimming and friendship," Maya said, opening the gate. "Want to try?"
Leo stepped to the pool's edge. The water twinkled like stars. With a splash, he discovered something amazing – zombies could swim!
The friendship vitamin worked like magic. Leo's skin turned pink. His smile straightened. His eyes sparkled.
Other zombies gathered, watching in wonder. Maya invited them all.
That night, the pool filled with splashing, laughing zombies. They weren't scary anymore – just friends who needed swimming and kindness.
Leo kept the iPhone on his nightstand. Every screen showed a photo: a grinning zombie girl, a smiling zombie boy, and Maya, all floating in crystal-blue water, glowing with the most powerful vitamin in the world – friendship.
Sometimes, Leo thought, the scariest things just need a splash of fun and a heart full of kindness to become beautiful.
