The Zombie Who Loved Pyramids
Maya found something strange behind her toy box — a thick, black cable she'd never seen before. It sparkled with tiny rainbow lights!
"What do you do?" Maya wondered, giving the cable a gentle tug. ZAP! The cable pulled her through a secret door into a magical world.
She landed in a desert filled with golden pyramids. But one pyramid looked sad and crumbly. Inside lived Zed, a friendly zombie with green skin and patchy clothes.
"Hello!" Maya said bravely.
"Grrr..." Zed mumbled, rubbing his head. "I've been sleeping for too long. I'm not scary — just very, very tired!"
Zed explained he was the Pyramid Guardian Zombie. His job was to keep the magical pyramids shining, but he'd fallen asleep for one hundred years!
"I can help!" Maya said. She realized the magical cable in her hand could connect things together. "Let's fix your pyramid!"
Zed and Maya worked as a team. The cable connected the broken stones back together. It linked the stars above to the pyramid's tip. It even connected Zed's sleepy brain to all the pyramid magic!
Soon, the crumbly pyramid glowed brighter than any star. Zed jumped happily — he wasn't slow or groggy anymore!
"Thank you, Maya!" Zed cheered. "You taught me something important: even when things seem broken or scary, working together with friends can fix anything!"
Maya waved goodbye and followed the sparkly cable back home. That night, she dreamed of pyramids and knew that sometimes the most unusual friendships are the best kind of all.
