The Zombie Who Loved Papayas

Luna was a curious black cat with bright yellow eyes who loved exploring. One warm summer evening, she padded through Mrs. Green's garden when she spotted something strange—a zombie!

But this wasn't a scary zombie like in the movies. He was small, green, and wearing a dusty old baseball cap. His name was Zed, and he was sitting sadly on a bench.

"What's wrong?" Luna meowed softly.

Zed looked up surprised. "I can't play baseball with the other creatures. They're scared of me because I'm a zombie."

Luna's tail twitched with an idea. "What if we play together?"

Zed's face lit up like fireflies. "But we don't have a ball."

Luna dashed into the garden and returned dragging a perfect round papaya. "This will work!"

They played baseball under the moonlight. Zed hit the papaya so hard it sailed over the fence! Luna ran fast as lightning, catching it in her paws. They laughed and played until dawn painted the sky pink.

When the other creatures saw how much fun Zed and Luna were having, they joined in too. Soon, the whole garden was playing baseball with papayas.

Zed wasn't lonely anymore. Luna had taught everyone an important lesson: friendship comes in all shapes, sizes, and colors—and even zombies can make the best friends.

Now every summer night, you can find Luna and Zed playing baseball under the stars, always sharing their papaya with anyone who wants to play.
