The Zombie Who Loved Papaya
Lily lived on a tiny island where the **palm** trees danced in the wind and the ocean sparkled like liquid diamonds. Every morning, she collected **water** from the spring in her favorite coconut shell.
One day, while exploring the secret cove, Lily spotted something strange beneath the oldest **palm** tree. It was a creature—greenish-gray, with floppy arms and a sleepy face. The islanders called him the **zombie**, but they stayed far away.
Lily wasn't afraid. She noticed his sad eyes and the way he tilted his head at the **orange** sunset glowing across the sky.
"Are you lonely?" she asked.
The zombie nodded slowly.
Lily ran home and grabbed her breakfast—a ripe, golden **papaya**. She held it out. The zombie's eyes widened. He took the fruit and suddenly, color flooded his cheeks! His gray skin turned rosy. He smiled, revealing teeth that sparkled like pearls.
"More papaya!" he cheered, jumping up. "I've been sleeping for one hundred years, waiting for someone kind to share their papaya with me!"
The zombie—whose name was Zoko—had been put under a sleepy spell by a grumpy sorcerer. Only kindness and fresh fruit could break it.
Zoko showed Lily his magic: he could make **water** bubble up from the sand to create fountains, and he could turn **orange** blossoms into tiny glowing butterflies that danced around the **palm** trees at night.
"Why did the sorcerer curse you?" Lily asked.
"Because I wanted to share my magic with everyone," Zoko said. "He thought magic should be kept secret. But I believe the best things in life should be shared."
From that day on, Lily and Zoko became best friends. They made **papaya** pies for the whole island, and soon everyone discovered that the zombie wasn't scary at all—he was just lonely. And sometimes, the thing that seems scariest is really just something waiting for a little kindness to wake it up.
Now every evening, you can see Lily and Zoko sitting by the **palm** trees, sharing **papaya** slices as the **orange** sun dips into the **water**, making the whole sky glow like magic.
