The Zombie Who Loved Padel

Lily and Max were best friends who spent every summer day at the community pool. They splashed in the cool water, raced across the shimmering blue surface, and invented magical games.

One afternoon, Lily found an old padel racquet floating near the pool's edge. It glowed with strange sparkles!

"Look!" she whispered. "This must be magic."

Max laughed, but when he touched the racquet, the pool water began to bubble. From the depths emerged not a scary zombie, but a small, green creature with wet hair and big, sad eyes.

"I'm Zom," the creature gurgled softly. "I've been stuck underwater for a hundred years because I never learned to play padel. The pool fairy said I need a friend to teach me before I can go home."

Lily and Max exchanged surprised looks. This zombie wasn't scary at all—he just needed help!

"We'll teach you!" Max promised.

Every day that week, while other children swam, the three friends practiced padel beside the pool. Zom's floppy arms grew stronger with each swing. The water seemed to cheer for them, creating tiny rainbows in the sun.

On the final day, Zom hit a perfect shot that made the magical padel racquet glow brighter than ever. The pool water transformed into a beautiful bridge of light.

"Thank you, my friends," Zom smiled, his green skin turning warm and golden. "You taught me that courage comes from trying new things. And that true friends help each other grow."

He stepped onto the water bridge, waving goodbye until he disappeared into sparkling mist.

The magical padel racquet remained behind, now ordinary. But every time Lily and Max played, they remembered Zom's lesson: real magic isn't about glowing racquets or enchanted pools—it's about kindness, friendship, and never giving up on someone who needs help.
