The Zombie Who Loved Padel

Luna skipped along the beach, her bare toes wiggling in the warm sand. The ocean water sparkled like blue diamonds under the golden sun. She loved coming here – especially when she could play padel with her friends at the seaside court.

But today, something strange caught her eye. Under the swaying palm tree sat a green creature. He looked kind of like a zombie, with patchy skin and messy hair, but he wasn't scary at all. Instead, he was hitting a padel ball against the tree trunk – thwack, thwack, thwack!

"Hello?" Luna called out bravely.

The zombie jumped! His big eyes went wide. "Oh! I didn't see you there. I'm Zed."

"I'm Luna. Why are you hitting the ball alone?"

Zed sighed. "Everyone runs away when they see me. They think I'm scary because I'm a zombie. But I just want to play padel. It's my favorite game!"

Luna looked at Zed's hopeful face. She remembered what her mother said: never judge someone by how they look.

"Well," Luna said with a grin, "I happen to LOVE padel. Want to play together?"

Zed's face lit up like fireworks! They played for hours, laughing and running. Zed was amazing at padel – he could hit the ball so fast it whooshed through the air!

When Luna's other friends arrived, they looked nervous. But Luna stepped forward. "This is Zed! He's the best padel player ever!"

Soon, everyone was playing together, splashing in the cool water and taking turns under the palm tree. Zed finally had friends who saw HIM, not just what he looked like.

That day, Luna learned something wonderful: the best friends sometimes come in the most surprising packages. And from then on, the zombie who loved padel was never lonely again.
