The Zombie Who Loved Padel
In the sleepy town of Willow Creek, there lived a zombie named Zippy. But Zippy wasn't like the zombies in scary movies. He didn't want brains. He wanted friendship, and more than anything, he wanted to play padel.
Every afternoon, Zippy would peek through the fence at the community pool, watching kids and families play padel on the court nearby. He wore his lucky rainbow-colored hat that he'd found in the park — it made him feel brave.
"I wish I could play too," Zippy sighed, his green skin shimmering in the sunlight. But he knew everyone would be scared of him.
One hot day, something magical happened. A girl named Luna's padel racket flew over the fence and landed right at Zippy's feet. His heart did a little flip.
Luna climbed onto the bench to peek over. "Oh no! My favorite racket!"
Zippy picked it up gently. His hand wasn't scary at all — it was covered in colorful friendship bracelets he'd made from flowers.
"I... I have your racket," Zippy called out softly.
Luna gasped when she saw him. But instead of running away, she smiled. "You're the zombie who watches us play! What's your name?"
"I'm Zippy." He handed her the racket through the fence.
"I'm Luna. Do you know how to play?"
Zippy nodded. "I've been watching. I think I could be good."
The pool gate opened, and Luna's friends came over. Instead of being scared, they were curious. Soon, Zippy was invited onto the padel court.
And guess what? Zippy was amazing! His zombie reflexes made him super fast, and he could hit the ball so far it splashed into the pool!
Everyone laughed and cheered. From that day on, Zippy wasn't the lonely zombie anymore. He was Zippy the Padel Champion, with his rainbow hat and a whole group of friends who learned that the scariest-looking people can have the kindest hearts.
And every afternoon, you could find them all at the pool, playing padel together, because friendship makes everything more magical.
