The Zombie Who Loved Padel
Lily and Max were the best spies in the neighborhood. Every Saturday, they went on secret missions in their backyard. One evening, while eating dinner, Lily's crazy **hair** started sparkling with tiny lights.
"The magic is near!" she whispered.
That night, they peeked through the fence. What they saw made them gasp. A **zombie** was shuffling toward the old sports court! But this wasn't a scary zombie. His green skin glowed like fireflies, and he wore a funny hat.
"Let's follow him," Max whispered, grabbing their spy flashlight.
The zombie stopped at the padel court. He picked up a racket and started hitting a ball against the wall. PLUNK. PLUNK. PLUNK. But he looked so lonely.
Lily stepped forward. "Hello?"
The zombie jumped! His name was Zeb, and he wasn't scary at all. He had wandered from the Magical Valley and just wanted to play **padel** with someone. Every night, he practiced alone, hoping to make friends.
"We'll play with you!" Lily said.
But the court was dry. The ball wouldn't bounce right. Zeb showed them a secret: he reached into his pocket and pulled out a vial of glowing blue **water**. "This is from the wishing well," he explained. "One splash makes everything magical."
He sprinkled the water. Suddenly, the court sparkled like diamonds. The ball began to giggle when it bounced. The racket sang little songs.
They played padel until sunrise, laughing as the ball changed colors and the net told jokes. Zeb wasn't lonely anymore.
"Will you come back tomorrow?" Zeb asked, his eyes shining.
"Every night," promised Lily.
From then on, the three friends were the best padel players in the magical world. And the best spies too, because they discovered the most important secret of all: things aren't always what they seem, and friendship is the strongest magic of all.
