The Zombie Who Loved Orange Padel

In the sleepy town of Willow Creek, three best friends—Mia, Leo, and Sam—found the strangest thing behind the old community center. It was a zombie! But this zombie wasn't scary at all. He wore a bright orange bandana and held a padel racket in his green, bumpy hand.

"G-g-g-good morning?" the zombie stuttered, his voice sounding like autumn leaves crunching.

Mia stepped forward bravely. "Hi! I'm Mia. This is Leo and Sam. What's your name?"

"Z-Z-Z zimmy," he said, then his face turned even greener. "I mean... Jimmy!"

Jimmy explained that he wasn't really a zombie—he'd been cursed by a grumpy wizard because he never shared anything. The only way to break the spell was to learn about friendship and teamwork. He'd been watching the children play padel through the fence for weeks, wishing he could join in.

"Padel!" Sam's eyes lit up. "That's our favorite game! We can teach you!"

Every afternoon after school, the friends met Jimmy at the padel court. At first, Jimmy was clumsy. His arms kept falling off when he swung too hard, and he tripped over his own feet. But Mia, Leo, and Sam never laughed. They helped him up, put his arms back on, and showed him how to hold the racket properly.

One day, Jimmy brought oranges for everyone. "I-I-I picked them from the wizard's garden," he admitted nervously. "I wanted to share them with you."

As they sat together peeling the juicy oranges, juice dripping down their chins, something magical happened. Jimmy's green skin began to turn pink. His bumpy hands became smooth. The orange bandana around his head transformed into a regular baseball cap.

"Jimmy!" Mia gasped. "You're changing!"

The grumpy wizard appeared, nodding approvingly. "You've learned the most important magic," he said. "Friendship and sharing are stronger than any curse."

Jimmy was completely himself again—a regular boy who could now play padel without his arms falling off. "Thank you for being my friends when everyone else was scared," he said, hugging them all.

From that day on, Jimmy and his three best friends played padel every weekend, always bringing oranges to share. And sometimes, when the sun was just right, Jimmy's skin would turn the faintest shade of orange—just to remind them of the zombie who became their forever friend.

The town of Willow Creek learned something important too: sometimes the scariest-looking creatures just need someone to believe in them.
