The Zombie Who Loved Naps

In the middle of the Enchanted Forest lived a zombie named Zed. But Zed wasn't scary at all—his green skin was as soft as moss, and instead of eating brains, he loved eating blueberry muffins. Zed had messy rainbow-colored hair that stuck up in every direction, making him look like a walking party.

One sunny morning, Zed's best friend Whiskers the cat came bounding up the path. Whiskers was no ordinary cat—she could talk, and she had bright purple fur that shimmered in the sunlight.

"Zed! Zed!" Whiskers meowed excitedly. "I found something amazing behind the old waterfall! It's a golden pyramid!"

Zed's eyes widened. "A pyramid? In the forest?"

"Yes! And it's glowing!" Whiskers danced around his feet. "But there's a grumpy bear sleeping in front of it. His name is Barnaby, and he's been there for days. Nobody can get past."

Zed thought for a moment. He knew Barnaby. The bear wasn't really grumpy—he was just lonely and tired. All the other animals were scared of his size and his loud roar, but Zed had a feeling Barnaby just needed a friend.

"Let's go meet him," Zed said bravely.

When they arrived at the waterfall, there it was—a beautiful golden pyramid shimmering in the dappled sunlight. And sure enough, a huge brown bear was curled up in front of it, snoring softly.

Zed approached quietly. "Hello?" he whispered.

Barnaby opened one eye. "Go away. I'm guarding this pyramid."

"But why?" Zed asked gently.

"Because nobody ever visits me," the bear admitted, his voice rumbling like distant thunder. "I figured if I guard something magical, maybe someone would stop and talk."

Zed smiled and sat down beside the big bear. "Well, I'm stopping. And I brought you something." He pulled a blueberry muffin from his pocket. "My favorite."

Barnaby's eyes lit up. No one had ever shared anything with him before. As the bear happily munched on the muffin, the golden pyramid behind them began to shine even brighter.

Suddenly, the pyramid's top opened like a flower, and a beautiful rainbow burst out, arching over the waterfall. A voice echoed softly: "The greatest magic is friendship."

From that day on, Barnaby, Zed, and Whiskers were the best of friends. And the golden pyramid stayed in the forest, reminding everyone that sometimes the grumpiest-looking people just need someone to share a muffin with them.
