The Zombie Who Loved Green

In the attic of a old house, a stuffed zombie named Zombly sat on a dusty shelf. He wasn't scary at all — with his bright purple hair and heart-shaped button eyes, he was the friendliest zombie anyone could meet. But Zombly had a secret. He was lonely.

One stormy night, when **lightning** flashed across the sky like golden ribbons, something magical happened. A bolt of lightning struck the attic roof, and Zombly felt a tingle in his stuffing. He could move! He wiggled his green fingers and wobbled his knobby knees.

"I'm alive!" Zombly cheered, though his voice sounded like soft crinkling paper.

He tumbled down the attic stairs and found himself in the kitchen. There, he met a little girl named Lily, who was eating dinner at the counter.

"A zombie!" Lily gasped, but she didn't look scared. She looked curious.

"I'm Zombly," he said, waving shyly. "And I'm hungry, but I don't know what zombies eat."

Lily giggled. "Try this!" She pushed a bowl of green leaves toward him.

Zombly took a bite of the **spinach**. Suddenly, he felt stronger! His purple hair glowed brighter, and he could jump higher than ever before. "This is amazing!" he exclaimed.

"It's magical spinach from Grandma's garden," Lily explained. "It gives you the power to help others."

From that night on, Zombly and Lily became best friends. Every evening, Zombly would eat his magical spinach, and together they would help around the house — fixing broken toys, finding lost items, and even cheering up sad neighbors with silly zombie dances.

Zombly learned that being different didn't mean being scary. And Lily discovered that the best friends sometimes come from the most unexpected places.

The lightning that brought Zombly to life had given them both a wonderful gift — a friendship that would last forever, powered by love, kindness, and of course, plenty of magical spinach.
