The Zombie Who Loved Baseball
In the town of Willow Creek, lived a small green zombie named Zim. But Zim wasn't scary at all—he loved flowers, sunshine, and most of all, baseball! Every afternoon, he'd watch the kids play at the park, dreaming of joining their game.
One hot summer day, the town's swimming pool was mysteriously losing water. The mayor frowned. "No water means no summer fun!" Zim wanted to help. He noticed tiny holes in the pool's bottom where water was leaking.
That evening, Zim had a magical idea. He stitched the holes using special thread from his zombie grandmother's sewing kit. The water stopped disappearing! But the pool looked plain and empty.
Zim remembered his baseball dreams. Using his zombie magic, he transformed the empty pool into something amazing. When the children arrived next morning, they gasped. The pool had become a magical baseball field! The shallow end was the outfield, and the deep end had floating bases.
"First, we need a pitcher," said Zim shyly, stepping forward. The children smiled. They had never seen a zombie play baseball! Zim's special zombie arms could throw the ball in impossible curves. When he hit the ball, it splashed into the water with magical sparkles.
Every afternoon, Zim and the children played magical baseball together. The water would sparkle when someone scored a home run. Zombie Zim taught them that being different didn't mean being scary. Sometimes, the most unexpected friends make the best teammates.
The town of Willow Creek learned something wonderful that summer. A zombie who loved baseball and fixed pools had made their summer unforgettable. And Zim learned something too: friendship is the real magic in the world.
