The Zombie Who Loved Baseball

Max loved baseball more than anything. Every afternoon, he practiced running bases in his backyard, dreaming of hitting the perfect home run. One evening, as dark clouds gathered and lightning flickered across the sky, Max spotted something strange near the old baseball field.

A green figure shuffled awkwardly around the bases. Max's heart raced – it looked like a zombie! But this zombie wasn't scary. It was wearing a dusty baseball cap and holding a cracked bat.

"Want to play?" Max called out, clutching his iphone tightly in case he needed to call for help.

The zombie's face lit up. It nodded eagerly!

As lightning flashed overhead, Max tossed the ball. The zombie swung with surprising grace – CRACK! The ball soared through the stormy sky, glowing with magical energy from the lightning above.

They ran the bases together, laughing as the thunder rumbled like applause. The zombie, whose name turned out to be Zed, explained he'd been a baseball player long ago, trapped between worlds until someone showed him kindness.

That magical evening taught Max something wonderful: sometimes the scariest things just need friendship to reveal their true colors. And the best adventures happen when you're brave enough to say, "Want to play?"

The next day, Max's friends couldn't believe the photo on his iphone – a blurry but beautiful image of him and Zed, running across a lightning-lit field, baseball glowing between them, friendship bridging two worlds.
