The Zombie Who Loved Baseball

Leo's favorite toy was Zimby, a small green zombie with floppy arms and a friendly smile. Zimby wasn't scary at all – he was Leo's best friend, always ready for adventures in the backyard.

One sunny afternoon, Leo and Zimby discovered something amazing behind the old oak tree. A small golden pyramid sparkled in the grass, glowing with rainbow light. Inside the pyramid's glass walls were hundreds of tiny baseballs, each one shimmering like a star.

"Wow!" whispered Leo, carefully opening the pyramid's door.

Suddenly, the baseballs floated up, dancing around them. Each ball was magical – some left trails of glitter, others played soft music, and a few changed colors like rainbows.

Zimby's plastic eyes widened with wonder. The zombie reached out, and a blue baseball landed gently in his hand. The moment Zimby touched it, something magical happened – Zimby began to move!

"Hi Leo!" Zimby cheered. "I've always wanted to play baseball!"

They played catch with the magical baseballs all afternoon. Every time Zimby threw a ball, it turned into butterflies or bubbles. Every time Leo caught one, it made beautiful music.

Other kids from the neighborhood gathered around, amazed by the floating, glowing baseballs. Soon, everyone was playing together – even children who had never talked to each other before.

"This is the best day ever!" said Sarah, a girl who usually sat alone at school.

As the sun began to set, the magical baseballs floated back into the golden pyramid. But something wonderful had changed – the new friends kept playing together, using regular baseballs and having just as much fun.

Zimby became the team's good luck charm. The zombie who couldn't play real baseball taught everyone something important – the best magic of all is friendship.

Every day after school, Leo, Zimby, and all their new friends played baseball together. And sometimes, just sometimes, the golden pyramid would glow, and one magical baseball would float out to make their games even more special.

Leo learned that magic isn't about flying baseballs or glowing pyramids. The real magic is opening your heart to new friends and sharing adventures together. And that's a lesson Zimby the zombie would never let him forget.
