The Zombie Who Lost His Hat
In the magical village of Willowbrook, lived a peculiar zombie named Zeb. But Zeb wasn't scary at all—he was a friendly zombie with bright orange hair that stuck up like a carrot top. Every morning, Zeb would put on his favorite purple hat with yellow stars, but his wild hair always made it pop right off!
One day, Zeb's hat blew away in the wind and landed in the grumpy old wizard's garden. Zeb shuffled sadly after it, his knees going wobble-wobble with every step.
"Get away, you smelly old zombie!" the wizard shouted, waving his wand. But Zeb kept coming, his orange hair flopping sadly.
A little girl named Lily peeked from behind the garden gate. She saw how sad Zeb looked and marched right up to the wizard.
"He's not smelly! He's just looking for his hat!" Lily declared bravely.
The wizard looked surprised. No one had ever stood up to him before. Zeb's orange hair quivered as he pointed to his purple hat lying on a pumpkin.
Lily picked up the hat and dusted it off. Then she had an idea. She took a sparkly ribbon from her pocket and tied it around Zeb's wild hair, helping mash it down. When Zeb put his hat back on, it stayed perfectly in place!
"Thank you!" Zeb said, his first words ever. He did a happy little wobble-dance.
The wizard's grumpy face softened. "I suppose... I suppose you could visit my garden anytime. Your hair is quite remarkable."
From that day on, Zeb visited Lily and the wizard every week, bringing them flowers he grew with his magical zombie touch. They had learned an important lesson: friendship blooms when you least expect it, even with someone who seems very different from you.
And sometimes, all it takes is a little kindness and a purple hat to bring out the magic in everyone.
