The Zombie Who Lost His Hair
Tommy was running through the park on a sunny Saturday afternoon, his sneakers thumping against the playground path. The air smelled like fresh popcorn from the vendor's cart nearby. Tommy loved Saturday adventures with his friends.
That's when he saw him - a little green zombie sitting alone on the swing set. He looked different from the scary zombies in Tommy's storybooks. This zombie had no hair at all, just a smooth green head, and big sad eyes.
"Hi there," Tommy said bravely. "My name's Tommy. What's yours?"
The zombie sighed. "I'm Zimby, and I'm the most terrible zombie in the world. I lost my hair!"
Tommy's eyes widened. He remembered his grandpa telling stories about how zombies were supposed to have wild, messy hair. "What happened to it?"
"It blew away in the wind!" Zimby wailed. "Now all the other zombies make fun of me. They say I look like a green bowling ball!"
Tommy had an idea. He started running toward the big oak tree where he'd seen colorful ribbons and streamers left over from the town's birthday party yesterday. "Come with me, Zimby! We'll fix this!"
The zombie followed, waddling on his stiff green legs. Tommy gathered rainbow ribbons, shiny tinsel, and even found a bright yellow feather boa someone had dropped. "This will be perfect!"
For the next hour, Tommy worked carefully, tying and braiding the colorful decorations around Zimby's bald head. When he finished, Zimby looked like a beautiful magical creature with rainbow hair that sparkled in the sunlight.
"You look amazing!" Tommy cheered.
Zimby's eyes lit up with joy. He did a funny zombie dance, spinning around so his rainbow hair flew like a rainbow wave. "Thank you, Tommy! You're my best friend!"
From that day on, Zimby became the most popular zombie in town. All the other zombies wanted rainbow hair too, and Tommy became known as the boy who could make any friend feel special. Sometimes the best adventures aren't about running away from scary things - they're about running toward friendship and making everyone feel beautiful in their own special way.
