The Zombie Who Lost His Glow

Lily sat under the old oak tree, brushing her long curly hair. Her best friend Sam sat beside her, playing on his mom's iPhone. Suddenly, a rustling sound came from the bushes!

Out stumbled a zombie! But this wasn't a scary zombie like in movies. He was green and fuzzy, with sad eyes and a floppy hat. He looked like he needed a big hug.

"Hello," said Lily bravely. "I'm Lily, and this is my friend Sam. What's your name?"

The zombie sighed. "I'm Zeb. I've lost my glow. Without it, I can't make flowers bloom or stars twinkle."

Sam put down the iPhone. "How can we help?"

Zeb showed them his empty vitamin bottle. "The Magic Valley Vitamin grows on the highest mountain. It gives magical creatures their special powers. But I'm too tired to climb!"

Lily jumped up. "We'll help you, Zeb!"

The three friends set off on their adventure. The mountain path was twisty and covered in sparkling stones. Zeb taught them a special walking song that made their feet light as feathers.

Halfway up, they met a grumpy cloud blocking their path. "You can't pass!" thundered the cloud.

Lily had an idea. She took a ribbon from her hair and tied it to the cloud's fluffiest part. "Would you like a pretty hair accessory?"

The cloud blushed pink. "No one's ever given me a present before!" The cloud floated aside, leaving a rainbow bridge for them to cross.

Finally, they reached the top. There, glowing golden in the sunlight, grew the Magic Valley Vitamin! It looked like a beautiful crystal flower.

Zeb took a deep breath and ate the vitamin. Suddenly, he began to glow! Sparkles shot from his fingertips, and the whole mountain lit up with beautiful colors.

"Thank you, friends!" Zeb cheered. "You taught me that true friendship is the best magic of all!"

That night, Lily and Sam watched as Zeb made the stars twinkle extra bright just for them. And whenever they looked at the night sky, they remembered that kindness and friendship can make even a zombie glow.
