The Zombie Who Learned to Swim

Lily loved swimming more than anything in the world. Every day after school, she'd rush to the crystal blue lake behind her house, where the water sparkled like diamonds in the sunlight.

One afternoon, while practicing her underwater somersaults, Lily noticed someone peeking from behind an old willow tree. It was a small zombie boy with bright green skin, wearing polka-dot shorts and holding a rubber ducky.

"Hi! I'm Zed," the zombie said shyly. "I've been watching you swim. It looks like flying, but in water."

Lily smiled. "Want to learn?"

Zed shook his head sadly. "Zombies don't swim. We sink like rocks. But tonight is the Full Moon Pool Party, and all my zombie friends will be there. I wanted to at least splash around."

"Everyone can learn!" Lily said determinedly. "But first, my grandma gave me these special bravery vitamins from the Enchanted Garden. She said they help you believe in yourself."

She pulled a small bottle from her pocket. Inside were glowing orange vitamins that smelled like sunshine and strawberries.

"Really?" Zed's eyes widened. "Do you think one would help me?"

Lily nodded. "But the magic only works if you practice too. Are you brave enough to try?"

Zed took the vitamin and stood at the water's edge. "For the Full Moon Party!" he declared.

Hand in hand, they stepped into the cool water. At first, Zed was stiff as a board. But then he remembered the vitamin's magic – and Lily's encouraging smile. He relaxed. He kicked. He floated!

"I'm doing it!" Zed cheered, splashing happily. "The vitamin worked!"

"You worked!" Lily corrected with a wink. "The vitamin just helped you believe you could."

That night, Zed amazed every zombie at the Full Moon Pool Party. Not only could he swim, but he taught others how to float and kick. The bravery vitamins became famous, but everyone knew the real magic was having a friend who believed in you.

Sometimes, the best adventures start with being brave enough to try something new – and having someone there to cheer you on.
