The Zombie Who Learned to Fly

Lily discovered the glowing orange vitamin under her grandmother's oak tree. It sparkled like a tiny sunset, warm and pulsing with magic. Her grandmother had warned her about the garden's secrets, but Lily's curiosity sparkled brighter than any warning.

That night, something amazing happened. The stone zombie statue in her grandmother's garden began to move. His name was Zed, and he'd been frozen for a hundred years, waiting for someone kind enough to find the Friendship Vitamin.

"I need to learn to fly," Zed said, his voice like wind through autumn leaves. "That's my dream."

Lily smiled. She knew just how to help. Her big brother's baseball sat in the grass, and an idea bloomed like morning glories.

"Baseball teaches you to fly," Lily said. "When you hit the ball really far, it feels like you're flying with it."

Every afternoon, Lily taught Zed to play. The zombie who'd forgotten how to move learned to run, to swing, to laugh. His stone skin warmed up, turning from gray to rosy pink. With each hit, Zed jumped higher, soared longer.

One magical evening, Zed hit the baseball so far it disappeared into the sunset. And this time, Zed didn't just watch it fly. He jumped, and something wonderful happened—he kept going up, floating on golden wings that shimmered like the vitamin that had awakened him.

"Thank you, friend," Zed called down, dancing among the stars. "You taught me that sometimes, the best magic comes from believing in each other's dreams."

Lily waved, her heart full. She had discovered something more precious than any magic vitamin: friendship can make the impossible possible, and sometimes the best adventures help others find their own wings.
