The Zombie Who Just Wanted a Friend
Leo loved his favorite game, "Zombie Garden," where cute little zombies planted flowers instead of eating brains. His favorite character was Zummy, a bright green zombie with a flower crown who only wanted to make friends.
One starry night, Leo was playing on his iPhone when something magical happened. A glowing cable appeared from nowhere, twinkling like captured moonlight. It curled around Leo's room, pulsing with warm golden light.
"Hello?" a small voice squeaked.
Leo gasped. Zummy climbed out of the iPhone screen! The little zombie was exactly like in the game—green and sparkly, with tiny purple flowers braided into her fuzzy hair.
"I heard you wishing for a friend," Zummy said shyly. "In the game world, I'm supposed to be scary, but I just want someone to play with."
Leo's eyes widened with wonder. "I've always wanted a friend too!"
The glowing cable swirled around them, creating a magical bridge between worlds. Zummy showed Leo how to grow candy flowers that really bloomed and danced. Leo taught Zummy about real rainbows and jumping in puddles.
"Tomorrow," Zummy said, "you'll make real friends at the park. I'll be right here whenever you need me."
The next day, Leo approached the playground where kids played. He remembered Zummy's brave smile and said, "Can I play too?"
They welcomed him! Leo learned that the scariest thing isn't zombies or monsters—it's being lonely. But the bravest thing you can do is reach out and make a friend.
That night, the magical cable glowed softly by Leo's bed. Zummy peeked out from the iPhone and whispered, "See? You're the bravest zombie-friend ever."
Leo smiled, knowing Zummy would always be his magical friend, teaching him that kindness connects us all like an invisible cable of love.
