The Zombie Who Found His Heart

Luna was a girl with wild curly hair that bounced when she walked. Every night, her fluffy orange cat Pumpkin would curl up at the foot of her bed, purring like a tiny motor.

One full moon, Luna woke to see Pumpkin batting at something outside the window. A green figure shambled through their garden! Luna grabbed her flashlight and tiptoed outside.

There, among the sunflowers, stood a small zombie. But he wasn't scary at all — he looked lonely. His stitches were loose, and one button eye hung by a thread.

"I'm Zomb," he croaked softly. "I was a toy, but the magic moonlight made me real. Now I'm looking for friends."

Luna's eyes widened with wonder. "You can stay with us!"

Pumpkin rubbed against Zomb's leg, purring. The zombie smiled, and Luna noticed he needed fixing up. She ran inside for her sewing kit.

"You need better stitches," Luna said, carefully sewing his arms. "And maybe some hair?"

She attached soft yarn strands to Zomb's head. When she finished, he did a happy dance! Pumpkin chased him around the garden, and they all laughed under the silver moon.

From that night on, Zomb became Luna's best friend. He learned to play games, help in the garden, and even make pumpkin muffins. The neighbors thought he was just Luna's imaginary friend — but Luna, Pumpkin, and Zomb knew the truth: magic is real, and friendship comes in all shapes and sizes.
