The Zombie Who Dreamed of Swimming
In a sunny town by the blue sea, there lived a friendly zombie named Z. Z wasn't scary at all. He had green skin and a crooked smile, and his favorite thing to do was watch children play at the beach. Every day, Z sat behind a big rock and dreamed.
The water looked so magical. It sparkled like diamonds under the golden sun. Children laughed and splashed, riding waves like dolphins. Z wanted to join them, but zombies don't swim. Everyone knows that. Or do they?
One morning, a little girl named Luna spotted Z peeking from behind his rock. She waved. Instead of running away, she marched right up to him.
"Why do you look so sad?" Luna asked.
Z shrugged. "I wish I could go swimming. But I'm a zombie. Zombies sink."
Luna giggled. "That's silly! Everyone can swim. Come on!"
She grabbed Z's hand. His green skin felt cool and smooth. Together they walked to the water's edge. Z trembled.
"What if I sink?" Z whispered.
"Then I'll help you float," Luna promised.
Step by step, they entered the cool water. Z held his breath. But he didn't sink. Luna showed him how to kick his legs and move his arms. Z kicked and splashed. He was swimming!
Soon other children joined them. They played water tag and raced to the wooden pier. Z laughed so hard that little bubbles rose to the surface.
That afternoon, all the children learned something important. Sometimes, the things we think are impossible just need a brave friend to show us the way. And sometimes, even zombies can make the best swimming buddies.
