The Zombie Who Couldn't Swim
Luna loved her pet goldfish, Sparkle. Every day after school, she would sit by the blue bowl and watch Sparkle swim around and around in circles. Sparkle was the most beautiful goldfish in the world, with scales that sparkled like tiny rainbows.
One night, Luna had a strange dream. In her dream, she was swimming in a magical ocean filled with glowing stars. Suddenly, she saw something flopping toward her on the sandy bottom. It was a zombie!
But this wasn't a scary zombie like in movies. He was a small, green toy zombie who had fallen into the ocean by accident. His name was Zed, and he was having terrible trouble swimming.
"Help!" Zed called out, his voice tiny and bubbly. "I can't swim! My legs don't work like fins!"
Luna swam over to help. She saw that Zed was actually very friendly, just lonely. He had been dropped into the ocean by a careless child and couldn't get back to land.
Just then, Sparkle appeared! Luna's goldfish had magically grown big enough to ride. Sparkle swam right up to Luna and Zed.
"Hop on!" Luna told Zed. "Sparkle will help us!"
Zed carefully climbed onto Sparkle's back. Luna held on tight, and together they swam through the magical ocean. They passed by schools of glowing fish and underwater flowers that bloomed with light.
"Thank you for helping me," Zed said softly. "I thought I was all alone."
"Everyone needs friends sometimes," Luna said with a smile.
When morning came, Luna woke up in her bed. She rushed to check on Sparkle, who was swimming happily in her bowl. And there, sitting on Luna's nightstand, was a small green toy zombie.
Luna laughed with delight. Her magical adventure had been real! She placed Zed next to Sparkle's bowl so he could watch her goldfish swim.
"Now you'll never be lonely again," Luna whispered. And neither would she, because she knew that even the most unexpected friends can become the best ones of all.
From that day on, Luna always looked for new friends, no matter how different they might seem. And sometimes, when she looked closely at Sparkle's bowl, she could almost see the tiny fish wink at her toy zombie, as if sharing a wonderful secret about swimming in magical oceans together.
