The Zombie Who Couldn't Run

In the friendly village of Sunnybrook, there lived a little zombie named Zim. But Zim wasn't like the zombies in scary stories. His green skin was soft like moss, and instead of saying "brains," all he wanted was fresh water from the wishing well.

Every morning, Zim watched the children running through the meadow. Their laughter floated like butterflies on the breeze. How Zim wished he could run and play! But his legs were stiff and creaky, like old wooden branches.

One day, a brave girl named Lily noticed Zim sitting alone on his favorite mushroom. "Why aren't you running?" she asked, her eyes full of kindness.

"I can't," Zim sighed. "My legs are too tired."

Lily's eyes sparkled. "I know what will help! My grandmother says the magic vitamin grows on the sparkle-berry bush by the rainbow stream!"

Together, they set off on an adventure. Lily skipped ahead, pointing out dancing flowers and singing rocks. Zim shuffled slowly behind, but he didn't mind — he had never had a friend before.

At last, they found the sparkle-berry bush. The berries glowed like tiny stars! Zim ate three magical berries, and suddenly his legs felt light as feathers.

"Try running!" Lily cheered.

Zim took a step, then another, and soon he was running through the meadow, faster than the wind! The other zombies joined in, and soon the whole village was dancing together under the golden sun.

That night, Zim fell asleep with a smile. He had learned something wonderful: the best vitamin isn't found in berries or bottles. The real magic was friendship, kindness, and believing in yourself — and that's something everyone needs, zombie or not.
