The Zombie Who Couldn't Grow Hair

In the middle of the Whispering Woods lived Zola, a very special zombie. But Zola wasn't scary at all—she was made of glitter and moonlight, with emerald skin that sparkled like stars. Zola loved playing padel in the forest clearing, hitting a magical ball against trees that bounced it back with giggles.

But Zola had one big worry. The Great Padel Tournament was coming, and everyone who played had to wear a magnificent hairdo decorated with flowers and ribbons. The problem? Zola had no hair at all—just smooth, sparkly skin from forehead to forever.

One afternoon, while practicing her padel serves, Zola heard a happy bark. A golden-furred dog named Cooper trotted into the clearing, his tail wagging like a metronome. Cooper belonged to Maya, a girl who loved wandering the woods.

"You look sad," Maya said gently, sitting beside Zola. Cooper licked Zola's cheek, leaving a warm, wet spot.

Zola explained her problem. Maya's eyes widened with an idea. "Cooper has the softest fur in the world!" she said. "What if we make you a magical hairdo out of his shedded fur? We can weave it with flowers and vines!"

For three days, they worked together. Zola practiced padel while Maya collected Cooper's soft golden fur from his favorite napping spots. Then Maya wove the fur into a beautiful wig, decorating it with morning glory flowers and ribbons of spider silk.

At the tournament, Zola stepped onto the padel court wearing her magnificent golden hairdo. The crowd gasped—not because she was different, but because she was beautiful. When Zola won the final match, she didn't just take home the trophy. She took home something better: a forever friendship with Maya and Cooper, and the knowledge that what makes you different can also make you wonderful.
