The Zombie Who Chased Lightning
In the magical garden of Willowbrook Lane lived a little zombie named Zummy. But Zummy wasn't scary at all—he was a stuffed toy zombie who had come to life by accident when a wizard dropped his magic wand nearby.
Zummy had bright green skin that sparkled like emeralds, purple hair that stuck up in silly tufts, and the biggest, friendliest eyes anyone had ever seen. His favorite thing to do was sit on the garden fence and watch storms.
One evening, as dark clouds gathered overhead, Zummy noticed something amazing. **Lightning** bolts were dancing across the sky like glowing ribbons, crackling and sparkling with every color of the rainbow. Each bolt seemed to be playing tag with the clouds.
"I want to play too!" Zummy exclaimed. But zombies weren't supposed to run. Zummy had always moved slowly, shuffling step by step. That's just what zombies did.
But then something magical happened. A tiny lightning bug landed on Zummy's nose and whispered, "Believe in yourself, and you can do anything!"
Zummy's heart began to glow. He felt a tingling sensation all the way to his toes. Suddenly, he was **running**—really running! His legs moved faster and faster, carrying him across the garden meadow. He chased fireflies through the tall grass, leaped over babbling brooks, and spun around with the autumn leaves.
The other garden toys watched in amazement. Even the grumpy old garden gnome stood up and cheered.
That night, Zummy discovered that he wasn't just any **zombie** anymore. He was Zummy the Lightning Chaser, the friendliest, fastest zombie in all of Willowbrook Lane. And every time storms came, he would dance with the lightning bolts, celebrating the magic of believing in yourself.
Because the best magic of all isn't found in wands or potions—it's found inside your own heart, just waiting to be discovered.
