The Zombie's Secret Garden Pool

Lily loved visiting her grandmother's farm, especially the hidden corner behind the old barn where wildflowers grew taller than her head. One rainy afternoon, while searching for four-leaf clovers, she discovered something magical—a crystal-clear **pool** that shimmered even without sunlight.

The water glowed with a soft blue light, and curious fish with rainbow scales darted beneath the surface. Lily had never seen anything like it. As she leaned closer for a better look, a grumbling voice echoed behind her.

"Nobody ever comes here anymore," said a green-skinned creature with stitching on his forehead and bolts in his neck. Lily gasped—it looked like a **zombie** from her storybooks!

But this zombie wasn't scary at all. He wore a gardening apron and held a basket of fresh vegetables. "I'm Zed," he said with a friendly smile. "I'm the garden guardian. Are you here for the magic fruit too?"

Lily's eyes widened. "Magic fruit?"

Zed led her to a special garden where the most amazing things grew. There were trees with bright orange **papaya** fruits that glowed like tiny moons when you picked them. Next to them grew emerald **spinach** leaves that whispered secrets and made you feel stronger when you ate them.

"The storm is coming," Zed said, looking up at the darkening sky. "That's when the magic happens."

Suddenly, **lightning** flashed across the sky, striking the center of the pool. The water erupted in a fountain of sparkles, and rainbow fish leaped into the air, transforming into glowing butterflies that danced around Lily and Zed.

"Every storm brings new magic," Zed explained. "But I can't enjoy it alone. Will you be my friend?"

Lily's heart swelled with happiness. She realized that sometimes the scariest-looking creatures could be the kindest friends. She shared Zed's papaya and spinach as they watched the lightning show, making wishes on every flash.

From that day on, Lily visited Zed whenever storms came. They learned that true friendship isn't about how someone looks—it's about kindness, sharing, and being there for each other. And every time lightning struck the magical pool, Lily felt grateful for being brave enough to say hello to a zombie who just needed a friend.
