The Zombie's Secret Garden
Lily discovered something strange behind her garage—an old cable disappearing into the ground. Being curious and brave, she tugged gently. To her surprise, it began to glow!
She followed the glowing cable deep underground until she reached a magical cavern filled with bioluminescent flowers. And there, sitting among them, was a zombie. But this wasn't a scary zombie like in movies. He was green and friendly, wearing a colorful hat and reading a book.
"Hello!" he waved, smiling. "I'm Zed. Welcome to my garden!"
Lily's eyes widened. "You're... nice?"
"The nicest!" Zed laughed. "Would you like to see something special?"
He led her to a pool of crystal-clear water where the most beautiful spinach plants grew—purple, silver, and golden leaves shimmering in the cave's soft light.
"Magic spinach," Zed explained. "One bite gives you the power of swimming underwater for one whole hour. I use it to explore underground rivers. But I lost my favorite lucky pebble in the deepest part. Will you help me find it?"
Lily's heart raced with excitement. "Yes!"
She ate a silver spinach leaf. Immediately, she felt light and bubbly. When she jumped into the water, she could swim perfectly! She dove deeper and deeper, discovering rainbow fish and singing stones. Finally, at the very bottom, she spotted Zed's lucky pebble glowing softly among the rocks.
When she surfaced, Zel danced with joy. "You did it! Thank you, Lily!"
"This was the best adventure ever!" Lily beamed.
"Friendship is the greatest magic," Zed said warmly. "Come back anytime. The cable will always guide you here."
As Lily climbed back home, she realized that sometimes the most wonderful surprises come from being curious and giving everyone a chance—even a zombie who just wanted a friend.
