The Zombie's Secret Garden
In the middle of a magical island lived a zombie named Zoggy. But Zoggy wasn't scary like the zombies in stories. He was just lonely. His green skin was patchy like moss, and his smile was stitched together with colorful thread. Every time he walked past the village, children would run away screaming, even though Zoggy only wanted to say hello.
Zoggy's only friend was a tall palm tree at the edge of the beach. Every evening, he would sit beneath its swaying leaves and talk to the ocean waves. "Why does everyone run away?" he would ask the palm tree. The tree would rustle its branches as if trying to give him a comforting answer.
One day, something wonderful happened. A small cat with bright orange fur trotted out of the jungle. Unlike everyone else, she didn't run away. Instead, she walked right up to Zoggy and rubbed her head against his leg, purring loudly.
Zoggy was amazed! "You're not afraid of me?" he asked, his eyes wide with wonder.
The cat just meowed and curled up in his lap. Zoggy's heart felt warm for the first time in forever. He named her Sunny, and from that day on, she followed him everywhere.
The children watched from behind their houses as Zoggy played with Sunny. They saw him gently petting her, making her toys from palm leaves, and even sharing his lunch of coconuts. Slowly, they began to understand that Zoggy wasn't scary at all—he was just different.
One brave little girl named Lily approached them. "Can I pet your cat?" she asked shyly.
Zoggy smiled so big his stitches stretched. "Of course! Sunny loves making new friends."
Soon, all the children were playing with Zoggy and Sunny under the palm tree. They realized that Zoggy was the kindest person on the island. He helped them build sandcastles, told funny stories, and even taught them how to weave palm fronds into baskets.
The village learned an important lesson that day: sometimes the things that seem different or scary are actually the most wonderful friends of all. And it all started with one brave cat who saw with her heart instead of her eyes.
Now Zoggy isn't lonely anymore. He has a whole island of friends, a loyal cat who sleeps on his pillow, and a palm tree that still listens to his stories every evening. Being different turned out to be the best thing that ever happened to him.
