The Zombie's Secret Garden

Leo hated spinach. Every time his mom served those green leaves for dinner, he'd push them around his plate, wishing for something more exciting. But Leo loved baseball more than anything. His baseball glove sat by his bed like a trusted friend.

One Saturday, while chasing a home run ball, Leo discovered something strange beyond the outfield fence. An old padel court sat hidden in the woods, vines curling around its rusty net. But these weren't ordinary vines—they shimmered with an emerald glow.

Leo stepped closer and heard something crunching. *Crunch, crunch, crunch.*

From behind a bush emerged not a monster, but a friendly green figure with messy hair and kind eyes. It looked like a zombie, but not the scary kind from movies. This one wore a baseball cap and carried a garden trowel.

"Hi!" the zombie said. "I'm Zed. I tend the magical spinach garden. Want to see?"

Leo's eyes went wide. "Spinach? But I hate—"

"Ah, but you've never tasted *magical* spinach." Zed grinned, holding out a bright green leaf that sparkled like tiny stars. "This grows from dreams. One bite makes you faster, stronger, braver."

Leo took a small bite. Suddenly, he felt light as air, strong as a lion. Zed tossed him a padel racket, and they played the most magical game Leo had ever experienced. The ball glowed. The net sang. And Leo realized something wonderful: he didn't hate spinach—he'd just never met the right kind.

Before leaving, Zed pressed a packet of magical spinach seeds into Leo's palm. "Plant these with care. And remember," Zed winked, "the best things often surprise us."

That night, Leo ate every green leaf on his plate. His mom smiled, never knowing that her son had discovered magic in the most unexpected place.
