The Zombie's Secret Garden

Lily loved exploring behind the old amusement park, where a rusty cable car dangled from a thick rope bridge. It hadn't run in years, but today something peculiar caught her eye—something green and glowing beneath the abandoned car.

Curious, she tiptoed closer and discovered a friendly zombie named Zed! But he wasn't scary at all. His patchy green skin matched the magnificent garden he tended, filled with enchanted spinach plants that sparkled like tiny emeralds.

"Please don't run!" Zed called out in a gentle voice. "These aren't ordinary vegetables. They're memory spinach!"

Lily's eyes widened. Zed explained that every leaf held a wonderful memory—someone's first bicycle ride, a perfect beach day, making a new friend. He'd been protecting the garden for decades, ever since the park closed down. The only problem? The garden was dying because it hadn't been watered with swimming pool water from the park's old pool under the moonlight.

"I used to swim across every night," Zed sighed sadly, "but I'm afraid of the dark now."

Lily gasped. "I LOVE swimming! What if I help?"

The spinach plants perked up instantly, glowing even brighter. Zed offered Lily a leaf—she took a bite and suddenly saw beautiful memories fill her mind: building sandcastles with her grandmother, learning to ride her bike, the day she got her puppy.
