The Zombie's Secret Garden

Lily loved exploring the beach behind her grandmother's house. One afternoon, while building sandcastles near the tall palm trees, she noticed something strange. A lumpy green figure was slowly walking toward her!

Lily wanted to run, but the figure waved happily. "Hello!" it called. "I'm not scary. I'm a magical beach zombie!"

The zombie, whose name was Zelly, explained that magic sand had brought him to life. He wasn't like the zombies in scary stories. He just wanted friends and loved collecting seashells.

"Want to see something amazing?" Zelly asked.

Lily nodded, and Zelly led her to a hidden lagoon. "Go swimming with me!" he said. The water sparkled like diamonds. Lily splashed around with her new friend, discovering colorful fish and dancing with the waves.

Suddenly, a giant cat statue appeared on the shore. It was a sphinx made of golden sand!

"Answer my riddle, and I'll show you magic," the sphinx purred.

Lily and Zelly listened carefully: "I have no voice but tell stories. I have no wings but can fly across the sky. What am I?"

Lily thought hard. Then she saw it! "A star!"

"Correct!" The sphinx smiled, and the night sky suddenly appeared overhead. But something was missing. The constellation Taurus, the great bull, had fallen from the sky!

The poor bull was stuck in the sand, looking sad. His golden horns gleamed, and his eyes shone like moonstones.

"He needs help returning home," said Zelly.

Lily, Zelly, and the sphinx worked together. They built a giant sand ramp and used palm fronds to make a magical slide. With all their strength and friendship, they helped the bull climb back up to his home in the stars.

"Thank you," the bull whispered. "You learned that friendship and kindness are the strongest magic."

Lily hugged Zelly. "I'm glad I met you, zombie or not!"

From that day on, Lily learned never to judge others by their appearance. The scariest-looking creatures can have the kindest hearts. And sometimes, the best adventures start with something unexpected—like making friends with a zombie on a sunny beach.
