The Zombie's Secret Garden

In the heart of the Whispering Woods lived a zombie named Zog. But Zog wasn't like the scary zombies in stories. He was green and gentle, with silver buttons for eyes and a heart full of dreams.

Every day, Zog tended to his magical garden where the most extraordinary spinach grew. The leaves sparkled like emeralds and glowed softly at midnight. Anyone who ate this spinach would feel happy for weeks! But Zog had no friends to share it with. Everyone ran away when they saw him shuffling through the forest in his floppy purple hat with silver bells.

One sunny morning, a little girl named Lily wandered into Zog's garden. She had bright orange hair and carried a basket of fresh oranges from her grandmother's tree. When she saw Zog, she didn't scream. Instead, she held out her hand.

"Hello! I'm Lily. Your spinach is beautiful!"

Zog was so surprised that his hat bells jingled. No one had ever called him beautiful before. "Would you like some?" he whispered shyly. "It's magical spinach."

Lily's eyes widened. "Magical? Like fairy tales?" She peeled an orange and shared it with Zog. He had never tasted anything so sweet and sunny. In return, he gave her a glowing spinach leaf.

When Lily ate it, she began to float gently above the ground! Both of them laughed with delight. For hours, they played together—floating, talking to birds, and making flower crowns. Zog's zombie heart felt warmer than it ever had.

"I'll come back every day!" Lily promised, hugging her new friend. "And I'll tell everyone that you're the kindest zombie in the whole forest."

And she did. Soon, children from the village visited Zog's garden every day. They learned that scary appearances can hide beautiful souls, and that friendship is the most powerful magic of all.

Zog finally had what he always wanted—not just a magical garden, but friends who truly saw him. And every day, you could hear the bells on his hat jingling with joy.
