The Zombie's Secret Baseball Team

zombiebaseballpyramidspy

In the dusty attic of her grandfather's house, eleven-year-old Mia discovered something extraordinary. Behind a stack of old boxes, she found a glowing golden pyramid no bigger than her palm. When she touched it, the pyramid hummed like a sleepy cat, and suddenly Mia could see through walls!

That was when she became the most unlikely spy ever. She peeked through the attic floor and spotted something strange in the backyard cemetery. A figure was shuffling near the old tombstones, throwing something into the air.

Mia crept downstairs, her heart pounding. But when she reached the cemetery gate, she gasped. It was a zombie—a friendly-looking one wearing a tattered baseball cap and a faded jersey that said "ROBBY."

"Want to play?" the zombie asked, his voice creaky but kind. He held out a mitt.

Mia blinked. "You're... you're a zombie!"

"I'm Robby," he nodded. "I used to be the best baseball player in town, way back in 1958. Now I play every night under the stars. Want to join my team?"

The magical pyramid suddenly warmed in Mia's pocket. She understood—not everyone who looks different is scary. Sometimes the most unexpected friends are the best ones.

"I'd love to!" Mia said, and she spent the most magical night of her life playing baseball with Robby and his ghostly teammates under the moonlight. They laughed, they ran, and Mia hit her first home run ever.

Before sunrise, Robby handed her a small baseball card. "Come back anytime, Mia. Friends always have a place on our team."

Mia never told anyone about her secret zombie baseball team. But every night, she touched her glowing pyramid and smiled, knowing that the best friends sometimes come from the most surprising places—and that kindness can bring anyone together, even across the boundary between the living and the beyond.
