The Zombie's Papaya Feast

Lily loved visiting her grandmother's magical garden in Mexico. The air always smelled like sweet flowers and sunshine, and the trees grew the most unusual fruits.

One afternoon, Lily sat under a papaya tree, playing a game on her iPhone when she heard a strange noise. *Thump, thump, drag.* Peeking through the leaves, she saw a green-skinned boy shuffling toward her. His clothes were tattered and his eyes looked foggy, like he'd been sleeping for a very long time.

"I'm Zippy," the boy said slowly. "I think I've been asleep underground for fifty years. I woke up hungry, and now I'm a sort of zombie—but the friendly kind!"

Lily wasn't scared. Zippy seemed lost and lonely. "You need fresh food!" she said, picking the ripest papaya from the tree above. When Zippy took a bite, his green cheeks turned pink! "This is amazing!"

Suddenly, a group of children ran by carrying padel rackets. "Want to learn to play?" Lily asked Zippy. At first, Zippy's zombie arms were stiff, but with each hit of the ball, he grew stronger and faster. The more he played and laughed, the more human he became.

By sunset, Zippy's green skin had faded to a healthy tan, and his eyes were bright and clear. "Thank you, Lily," he grinned. "Your friendship and fresh papaya woke me up better than any magic spell."

Lily learned that day that even the scariest problems can be solved with kindness, good food, and a game of padel with new friends. And sometimes, the best adventures start with a zombie who just needs a snack and someone to play with.
