The Zombie's Moonlight Garden

Lily loved exploring her grandmother's backyard at night. The fireflies danced like tiny stars, and the crickets sang their sleepy songs. But tonight, something magical happened.

A golden **cable** of light stretched from the moon down to the old garden behind the oak tree. Lily had never seen anything like it! She tiptoed closer, her heart beating with excitement.

In the garden, she saw a figure stooped over the plants. It looked like a **zombie** from her storybooks – green skin, tattered clothes, slow movements. Lily wanted to run, but something made her stay.

"Please don't be scared," the figure said in a voice as gentle as morning dew. "I'm Zara, and I'm guarding something very special."

Lily stepped closer and gasped. The garden was filled with glowing **spinach** plants! Each leaf sparkled like emeralds under the moonlight.

"This is Moonlight Spinach," Zara explained. "It only grows where the moon's silver cable touches the earth. One leaf gives you sweet dreams. Two leaves make you brave. Three leaves... well, that's a secret."

Zara wasn't scary at all. She was kind and lonely, guarding the magical garden by herself every night. Lily sat beside her and they shared stories until dawn.

"Will you come back tomorrow?" Zara asked hopefully.

"Every night," Lily promised. "And I'll bring my friends. They'd love to meet you."

From that night on, the garden was never lonely again. Lily learned that the scariest-looking people can have the kindest hearts, and that true friends are found in the most unexpected places. Besides, magical spinach adventures are always better with friends.
