The Zombie's Magical Spinach Secret
In the cozy town of Sunnyville, children whispered about the mysterious figure who lived beyond the old oak tree. "It's a zombie!" they'd gasp, hiding behind the playground slide.
Lily, being the bravest ten-year-old in town, decided to investigate one sunny afternoon. She crept through the tall grass until she spotted him—a greenish figure hunched over something.
"Excuse me?" Lily called out.
The figure jumped and dropped a bunch of bright green leaves. "Oh! You startled me!" He had kind eyes and a shy smile. "I'm Zombel. And you must be... not scared?"
"Should I be?" Lily asked, noticing what he'd dropped. "Is that... spinach?"
Zombel nodded sadly. "Yes. Everyone thinks zombies want to eat brains, but I just love fresh vegetables from my magical garden." He pointed to colorful plants glowing softly. "This spinach gives me super energy. And watch this!" He tossed an orange into the air, and it transformed into a tiny golden bird that sang beautiful melodies before turning back into fruit.
"That's amazing!" Lily clapped. "I've never seen magic like that!"
Zombel's face lit up. "Want to see my favorite game?" He led her to a small court where racquets leaned against the fence. "It's called padel. Would you like to play?"
They played until sunset, laughing as the magical orange-ball changed colors with every hit. Zombel moved gracefully, his strength from the enchanted spinach making him an excellent player.
The next day, Lily brought all her friends. Soon, Zombel's garden became everyone's favorite place. The zombie who everyone had feared became their friend, teaching them that true monsters only exist in unkind judgments—and that sometimes, the most magical friendships come from the most unexpected places.
And every afternoon, the children of Sunnyville could be seen playing padel in Zombel's garden, munching on magical spinach that made them strong, and sharing enchanted oranges that sang beautiful songs.
