The Zombie's Magical Pool Wish
Lily and Max found the most peculiar thing behind their grandmother's old oak tree. A little green creature with messy purple **hair** sat crying beside a forgotten garden pool.
"Are you... a **zombie**?" Lily whispered, eyes wide.
The creature sniffled. "I'm Zombly. And I have a problem."
Zombly pointed to the beautiful **pool** filled with sparkling **water**. "Every night I watch the moon reflect on the water. It looks like dancing diamonds. But zombies are supposed to be scary and stay away from beautiful things. So I've never touched the water."
Max knelt beside Zombly. "That's the saddest thing I've ever heard."
"Look!" Lily grabbed something from the ground—a frayed **cable** from an old radio. "What if we make something magical?"
The children wove the cable through the garden fence, creating a sparkly path of lights to the water's edge. Zombly's eyes grew round as moons.
"Go ahead," Max encouraged softly. "The water doesn't bite."
Zombly dipped one green foot into the pool. Then another. His purple hair floated on the surface like a water lily. A smile spread across his face—a gentle, wondering smile that wasn't scary at all.
"I'm swimming!" Zombly cheered, splashing joyfully. "I'm really swimming!"
That night, they learned something wonderful: sometimes the things we think we can't do are the very things that make us happiest. And sometimes, friendship is the bridge—or the cable—that leads us to our dreams.
Every summer after, Zombly the zombie, Lily, and Max swam together under the stars, proving that magic exists wherever someone dares to believe.
