The Zombie's Magical Pool

Lily loved exploring her grandmother's backyard, especially on sunny afternoons. Behind the old oak tree, she discovered something she'd never noticed before—a shimmering blue pool hidden among the flowers. The water sparkled like diamonds, and tiny rainbow fish swam in circles.

"Hello!" called a voice. Lily jumped. From behind a bush stepped a green-skinned zombie with messy purple hair and one sock missing his foot. "I'm Zed."

Lily wanted to run, but Zed looked so sad and lonely that she stayed. "I'm Lily. Are you... scary?"

Zed shook his head. "No. I'm just lonely. Everyone runs away before they can meet me." He held out something bright and orange. "Want a vitamin? My mom says these give you super powers."

Lily took the little orange tablet. "What kind of super powers?"

"Friendship powers," Zed smiled. "They help you make friends even when you're different."

Something magical happened. The vitamin in Lily's hand started to glow! She took it, and suddenly she could see sparkles around Zed—happy, friendly sparkles. The pool behind them began to bubble and change color.

"Look!" Zed pointed.

The magical pool showed them their reflections—but instead of Lily and Zed, they saw superheroes flying together, saving kittens, and planting rainbow gardens. The water whispered secrets about adventures they could have.

"The pool shows true friendships," Zed said. "Want to play?"

Lily grinned. "Yes!"

They spent the afternoon playing magical pool games, racing rainbow fish, and sharing stories. Zed wasn't scary at all—he was funny, kind, and loved adventures just like Lily.

"Come back tomorrow?" Zed asked as the sun began to set.

"Every day," Lily promised. "And I'll bring more vitamins. My friends will want to meet you too."

That night, Lily learned that sometimes the scariest-looking people make the best friends, and a little courage—plus a magical vitamin—can lead to the most wonderful adventures.
