The Zombie's Magical Paddle Game
Lily and Max were best friends who loved exploring. One rainy afternoon, while running through the park, they spotted something strange behind the old climbing pyramid. A small, green figure was hitting a ball against the wall with a padel racket.
"Is that a zombie?" Lily whispered, grabbing Max's arm.
The zombie turned around. He had messy green hair, friendly purple eyes, and the biggest smile they'd ever seen. "Want to play?" he asked, tossing them a extra racket. "I'm Zed, and I love padel!"
Zed explained he was a magical zombie who only came out during storms. The pyramid in the park was actually a secret portal to his world, but it only opened when lightning struck nearby.
"We're not very good at sports," Max admitted.
"That's okay!" Zed laughed. "In magical padel, the ball does the work. You just have to believe!"
They started playing. Every time Zed hit the ball, it sparked with tiny lightning bolts. When Lily returned it, the ball glowed golden. Max's turn made rainbow bubbles float around them.
Suddenly, real lightning flashed across the sky. The pyramid began to shimmer.
"It's opening!" Zed cheered. "Quick, hit the ball through together!"
All three swung their rackets at once. The ball zoomed through the pyramid's opening, and suddenly the whole park transformed. The swings became floating clouds, the slide turned into a rainbow, and flowers bloomed everywhere.
"Welcome to the World of Wonder!" Zed said. "But remember — this magical place only opens to those who play together and include everyone."
They played magical padel until the storm passed. As Zed waved goodbye and disappeared through the pyramid, he left them with something special — the rackets now sparkled with tiny lightning bolts.
"See you next storm!" his voice echoed.
Lily and Max walked home, no longer running from the rain. Sometimes the most magical friends are the ones you least expect, and the best adventures happen when you're brave enough to say yes.
Every rainy day after that, they carried their sparking rackets to the park, ready for another game with their zombie friend. Because some magic is too wonderful to keep secret — and too fun not to share.
