The Zombie's Magical Baseball Game

Timmy loved baseball more than anything, but he wasn't very good at it. Every time he stepped up to the plate, he missed the ball. His orange baseball cap drooped over his eyes as he walked home alone, his chin tucked low.

That night, as the orange moon glowed through his window, Timmy's cat Whiskers began meowing strangely at the closet door. Curious, Timmy opened it — and gasped! His old baseball glove was shimmering with golden light. A bumpy green hand reached out from inside!

"Don't be scared!" croaked a friendly voice. Out stumbled a zombie — but not the scary kind from movies. This zombie wore a dusty baseball uniform and had the kindest eyes Timmy had ever seen.

"I'm Zom," said the zombie, adjusting his hat. "I used to be the greatest baseball player who ever lived. Now I'm here to teach you!"

Whiskers purred and rubbed against Zom's leg. The zombie's skin might have been green, but his smile was warm as sunshine.

"Baseball isn't about being perfect," Zom explained, tossing an enchanted ball that glowed in the moonlight. "It's about friendship, fun, and never giving up. Watch!"

Under the orange moon, Zom taught Timmy secret tricks: how to listen to the wind, how to feel the ball's rhythm, how to believe in himself before every swing. Whiskers chased every pitch, tumbling in the grass.

By dawn, Timmy could hit every ball Zom pitched. But more importantly, he had made the most unlikely friend imaginable.

"You'll be great," Zom said, fading back into the glove. "Remember — magic lives inside brave hearts who keep trying."

At school that day, Timmy hit his first home run. His orange baseball cap flew off, and his teammates cheered. Whiskers, watching from the fence, seemed to wink.

Timmy touched his cap and smiled. Sometimes the best friends are the ones you least expect — and the real magic isn't in winning, but in never giving up on your dreams.
